Gold Coast Africa uses very high quality Rayon thread, and this dark Burgundy stole exemplifies how we carefully control our thread color. Other weavers often use a less-attractive, mauve-colored maroon which is more commonly found in the open marketplace.
This dark Burgundy is beautifully offset by our unique "Fancy" Gold and White stripes, and by the warmth of the three Gold Symbols: Diamond of Wealth and Riches, Key to Knowledge and Success, and the Stool of Leadership and Unity.
The name Gold Coast Africa is synonymous with high quality kente cloth. Each strip is handwoven on a strip loom by a master kente weaver in Ghana, using an age old-tradition, and taking as long a day to complete, depending on the complexity. A full 72" long x 4-3/4" wide.
